2006 Leadership Award

The award is given to the person whose activities have done the most to further the mission of the Chautauqua Leadership Network.

Congratulations! Jamestown Area Medical Associates, LLP

Jamestown Area Medical Associates was formed in 1997, a multi level and broad based specialty physician group. 30 doctors, nurse practitioners and physicians assistants work in offices located in Jamestown, Westfield, Dunkirk and Warren. In addition to the medical staff, over 100 nurses and administrative support work to provide Western New York and Southwestern Pennsylvania with top quality health care. JAMA is the 3rd largest physician group in Western New York.

In 2006 they opened a $8 million dollar, 82,000 square foot facility and devoted 55,000 square feet of this facility to their physician-practices. The remaining square footage will be developed into medical support services designed to provide a broad range of services to the community.

JAMA is clearly taking a proactive role and leading the way in making Chautauqua County a leader in health care and in turn is out in front of the health care needs of the community. The JAMA group has been able to attract doctors in the area of cardiology, nephrology, urology, gastroenterology and orthopedic surgery - just to name a few. JAMA's development of the Riverwalk Center, its $3.5 million dollar payroll and many community contributions and sponsorships speak to the group's concern for the quality of life in Chautauqua County, a vested willingness to be an active partner in the economic growth of our region and uniquely generous and beneficial corporate citizenry.
